La Gola dell`Infernaccio
This is one of the most beautiful limestone gorges in the Monti Sibillini National Park with good views of the mountains. It's a very easy walk to get to and is near the village of Montemonaco. The start of the walk takes you right into the most impressive part of the gorge itself. The walk can get lots of visitors because of the easy access so it's best to start your walk early in the day.
The walk itself takes around 4 hours for the round trip and is just under 9km long. It's an easy walk and a good one for taking the kids along.
If you have the Parco Nazionale Dei Monti Sibillini map then this walk is the first part of walk N.10
Here is a short yoututbe clip of the part of the walk through the gorge - it's a bit noisy with the sound of rushing water as the river is swollen with the newly melted snow.

A great walk for kids
I took my kids (aged 8 and 10) along on this walk and they loved going through the gorge. There were lots of wooden walkways criss-crossing the river which they enjoyed walking over and it felt like we were walking through a long cave as you couldn't really see the sky. Coming out of the gorge into the open felt like we were coming through into a hidden valley.
